Sketch
Sketch is a rough drawing executed in order to outline a future painting, any of its elements or just interesting ideas and principles. Any medium can be used in making sketches.

Bookplate (ex libris)
A bookplate (or ex libris) is a decorative label printed on the left endpaper of a book, that indicates its owner. First bookplates appeared in the 15th century in German, right after printing had been invented. In the Untited States bookplates became known in the 18th century, when they replaced book rhymes.
